That's four losses in a row with the latest being a home loss to the Knicks....They went from contending to a top 3 seed to only being one game ahead in the loss column of Denver for the 6th seed. They need to get their shit together. Losing at home to teams like the Knicks and Bobcats are bad enough when we were beating the good teams and now it's completely inexcusable because we need wins bad now.
And how does Kobe not touch the ball on the last play? I understand Kobe can be used as an effective decoy but there was enough time for Kobe to get the ball and then get double teamed and create something for a teammate a la the OT game in Sactown where he found Smush for the lay-up.
I really hope the rumored trade of a package involving Kwame Brown, some draft picks and McKie's expiring contract for J Kidd is true. Kidd may have lost a step but he is still a great passer and rebounder and a good defender and 10000000 times better than sorry ass Smush Parker. Kobe only has 3 or 4 years left in his prime and the Lakers need to not waste these years. As one of the greatest franchises in professional sports (14 titles and 28 finals appearances) especially of the last 30 years (8 titles and 13 finals appearances) anything less is unacceptable.
