Quick thoughts on Round 2

Just wanted to get my predictions out there for the two conference semifinal series that start this weekend.

Detroit over Chicago in 7

Detroit has more offensive options than Miami, is healthy, and matches up pretty well with Chicago. Should be a very close series but experience and homecourt will be the difference. I don't see Deng and Gordon going off as much this series because Detroit has people like Prince and Billups who match up well.

San Antonio over Phoenix in 6

This should be a very interesting series. Amare dominated with 38 PPG 2 years ago but the Suns still lost in 5. The Suns are healthy and it should make the series closer than it was two years ago. But the Spurs are still the most solid defensive team and they can slow down the Suns' break and run a little bit when they need to themselves. Tim Duncan is still a dominant big man and I doubt Amare averages 38 again.

PS - Round 1 recap will come when the round is complete. I think the Nets finish off the Raps tonight and Houston protects its home court once again tomorrow night.
